​Solar Plexus Chakra

     The Solar Plexus Chakra is where you form your perception of who you are.  This self perception can be accurate, or it can be distorted by ego.  In this center you can peel away the layers of protection and false identities you thought you needed for survival in the past.  You can discover who you really are and what your life purpose is. 
     The fire element of the Solar Plexus Chakra is symbolic of the strong will-power you develop here.  Your will-power is energized when you know your life's purpose and find creative ways to achieve it.  A fiery will can move you forward on your path to achieving your goals and dreams.
     One of the most important lessons of the Solar Plexus Chakra is not giving away your personal power.  In many ways we are taught and conditioned to do this starting at a young age.  Religious leaders, physicians, law enforcement officials, government leaders and even school teachers are examples of people we are told know what's best for us. There comes a point where you have to decide if you are going to keep giving away your power, or take it back and stand on your own two feet.  This doesn't mean everything you've been told or taught is wrong.  It simply means you are going to examine all of it and see what fits and what doesn't. 

Questions for the Solar Plexus Chakra
1. Are you satisfied with your current self-image?  Why or why not?
2. Do you ever feel empty inside?  If so, how do you attempt to fill that emptiness?
3. Is your will and goals more important than anyone elses?  Are you willing to hurt someone's feelings to get what you want?  To what extent?
