The Solar Plexus Chakra is the center of will power and your perception of who you are. The solid earth energy of the root chakra (matter) and the fluid water energy of the sacral chakra (movement) create the third state which is energy. Your focus now is transformation. You now have the fire of will. The exploration and creativity of the sacral chakra combined with the energy and will of the Solar Plexus Chakra allows you to break free from old habits, patterns, expectations, and addictions. In the process of breaking free, you have the freedom to direct your energy into purpose.
When you know who you are you can find your purpose and take action to fulfill it. This requires using your personal power to interact with the world around you. You develop personal power by connecting with your higher self and spirit. You stop depending on the other people and society to tell you what to do. You also develop your self esteem and self worth. These forms of loving yourself give you the ability to make healthy and sound decisions and choices for you to act on. You are less likely to react to a person or situation when your personal power has a solid base. In this chakra you learn how to use power in a united way, rather than taking power over others.
You are living in a time when a few people appear to rule the masses. It's easy to think you won't be heard or make a difference. It's easy to feel isolated and separate from everyone else. People who are feeling this way lose their personal power and are easy to control by the few.
It is common to be taught from youth to submit to the will of another. You are basically told to give your power away...for your own good. Parents, school teachers, clergy, police, bosses, and government officials are suppose to know what is best for us, or so we are told. If you give away or disconnect from your personal will, you can become numb inside. You really want to feel something, so you look for some kind of stimulation. Drugs, alcohol, destructive behaviors can create this stimulation and cover up the emptiness you feel inside. You want to be noticed and boost your ego. This kind of power, without any purpose but filling the void inside, can be dangerous. This use of power keeps you feeling separate.
Your will is a marvelous result of making positive choices in the sacral chakra. Your will is always there, but sometimes we fail to consciously connect with it. By utilizing the the lower chakras to contain the power of will, and utilizing the higher knowledge from the chakras from above to give purpose to your will, these choices will serve to move you in a positive direction.
The fire and will of the Solar Plexus Chakra propels you forward in life. It is for you to decide just where you are going and how you are going to get there. Live your life consciously. Let your will serve you, not someone else. You should also be able to bend your will at the appropriate times. If you become to rigid, you may find yourself using people and manipulating situations to serve your personal agenda. The three base chakras must work together so you can create the person and personality that is part of the Whole, not an isolated and self-serving individual.
