Heart Chakra

     
     The heart chakra is the center of love.  Not the wide-eyed, irrational, lustful feelings we think of when we hear the word "love", but a love that comes from deep within. This is a love based on compassion and understanding.  This is a love that considers another persons journey and perception.  This is a love that has no ego, no expectations, and no boundaries.  It's a love that exist in all of us, but can become buried through conditioning, traumas and fear.  In the heart chakra we work to uncover this love by working through and dissolving all the blockages and imprints that bind it.  This is important work because if it is left to bind and build, it can manifest in the physical realm as heart problems and even result in a heart attack.  
     The heart chakra is the center that joins the lower three physical/matter based chakras with the three higher spirit based chakras.  It is where we meet spirit and begin to listen to the voice of spirit.  Spirit is heard when we take the time to become quiet and listen.

1. We experience many different kinds of relationships including family, friends, close friends, and intimate.   What kind of expectations (or requirements) do you have for each of these types of relationships?  Take some time and really think about it. Be honest with yourself.
2. Do you take the time to consider another persons path (the experiences that brought them to where they are) before you judge them?
3. Does your ego determine how you treat people?
